Biography
Patrick Spencer (b. 1985) grew up among the Rocky Mountain Range and was inspired at an early age to draw by both his mother and grandmother who were proficient artists. Patrick's introduction to the fine arts would come in his first few semesters of community college, where he was further encouraged by his first mentor to pursue his work at the professional level. From here, he would apply by portfolio and was accepted into Brigham Young University's nationally renowned illustration program and shortly thereafter, graduate with his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts - Illustration. Upon graduation, Patrick was accepted into the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he has earned his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts - Painting, with an emphasis in informal portraiture and figurative work.
Today, Patrick, his wife, and two daughters live in Saratoga Springs, Utah, where he is in his fourth year of adjunct instruction at BYU, as well as exploring new mediums, developing his professional portfolio, and fulfilling commissions.
